After more than 30 years of practice as a high-level commercial and construction litigator, Karl Molineux now practices exclusively as a mediator, special master, and discovery referee in the United States, the United Kingdom and internationally.  Having an extensive understanding of issues important to both plaintiffs and defendants, he is noted for his effective mediating of complex multi-party construction disputes, non-complex construction disputes, commercial disputes, contract disputes, business disputes, real estate disputes, and premises liability disputes. 

Mr. Molineux works with clients in person, virtually and on a hybrid (in person and virtually) basis. He has been accredited as a mediator by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution (Pepperdine University), the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation, the London School of Mediation, and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.  Mr. Molineux has been accredited as both a facilitative and an evaluative mediator. 

Mr. Molineux is presently a panelist for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (President’s Panel), the London School of Mediation, Alameda County Superior Court, and Contra Costa County Superior Court. He is also a CMC (Civil Mediation Council) Associate Mediator, and on the Caltrans Dispute Resolution Board Candidates List.

Mr. Molineux is a member of the faculty of the London School of Mediation where he teaches facilitative mediation. Mr. Molineux is a member of the Society of Construction Law, the International Mediation Institute, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association, and the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation.

Mr. Molineux has served as a guest speaker on construction law, dispute resolution and real estate issues before numerous organizations including the Community Associations Institute, the Delta Association of Realtors, the Forensic Expert Witness Association, the National Indian Casino Safety Association and the Western Construction Consultants Association.
 
Mr. Molineux has also published articles on real estate and construction matters and was the contributing editor for the California section of the 2011 Cumulative Supplement to the Handling Construction Defect Claims: Western States textbook.

 

Mr. Molineux is presently a panelist and faculty member of the London School of Mediation.  As a faculty member he assists with the teaching and training of mediators in the field of facilitative mediation.
